Faye Evans Author Visit!
The children were very lucky this week! We had a visit from the author Faye Evans, who came into Reception to read the story 'The Fire-breathing Dragon!'. We had lots of fun!
Dog's Trust Visit!
We were lucky enough to have a visit from the Dog's Trust. Melanie came in and taught the children 5 rules to remember when interacting with dogs. It was an informative and interactive session that the children thoroughly enjoyed.
Valentine's Day!
This week, the children had lots of activities to complete all linked to Valentine's Day. They wrote messages of love, made cards and had a go at unlocking hearts by matching words to pictures. We were all feeling the love in Reception!
Marvelous Maths Day!
Freezing and Melting Experiment!
The children explored freezing and melting this week in Reception. They had a wonderful time and thought about what might make the ice melt faster or slower. They were all eager to try and free the dinosaurs from the ice!
Chinese New Year!
Wow! What a week! The children had a fantastic time making Chinese Lanterns and Dragons.

The children had a go at programming the Beebots to make them move. They took it in turns and had lots of fun!
The Whole School Trip to the Pantomime!
Reception thoroughly enjoyed our whole school trip to the Pantomime! The children blew me away with their outstanding behaviour. We are all very proud of their respectful attitude - they are definitely following the value of 'We Care About Respect'!

With the election looming, Reception have been learning how a voting system works! The children have had the opportunity to vote for the story book that they would like to hear at the end of the day.

Reception prayed for those who are not free. We held hands to show that we are thinking about them and are praying for them.
