Welcome to Year 2!
My name is Mrs Hancock and I am the Year 2 class teacher at Holy Family. I live with my bouncy 3 year old son, Mr Hancock and 2 cheeky cats called Harry and Max. I have worked at Holy Family for 8 years now and feel very passionate about our school values; growing our hearts and minds, passionate about learning, we care about respect and together we succeed. These values are embedded in all that we do in Year 2 and they can be found across every element of our curriculum. The children will have the opportunity to learn about exciting topics during this phase of their learning. Our mission statement is also an important part of life in Year 2. Our aim is to create a learning environment where children walk in the footsteps of Jesus. On this page, you will find key information about what your child will learn throughout the year. I will also share updates and highlights on Seesaw as we progress through the year and complete some exciting work. Keep a look out for lots of information to come!
