October 2020 celebrating Black History Month
October is Black History Month and we at Holy Family have lots of exciting learning to look forward to as we celebrate this very important month.
Throughout the month, the children will be looking at inspirational figures who have campaigned for change or used their status to raise awareness of certain issues. We have also selected some brilliant books to share with the children that will be used across the curriculum. In addition, each class will have an Artist to focus on, and we have lots of discussions planned in our P4C (Philosophy for children) sessions.
At the end of the month we will have an online celebration that will allow us to share our learning and see what each year group has accomplished. This will be on our website for you at home to view too.
