From Monday 3rd February - Friday 7th February, it was Children's mental health week. This years theme was 'Find your Brave.' We explored this theme by using the 5 ways to mental well-being and had a different focus each day.
On Monday, we focussed on the theme 'Connect.' We talked to new people, shared our ideas and completed a collective worship about being brave.
On Tuesday, we focussed on the theme 'Be active.' We were very active during our hockey lesson in PE and completed lots of physical activities throughout the day.
On Wednesday, we focussed on the theme 'Take notice.' We looked carefully at our surroundings and went on a senses walk.
On Thursday, we focussed on the theme 'Learn.' We learned a new sound in Phonics, song in music and how to help people show kindness.
On Friday, we focussed on the theme 'Give.' We thought about giving to charity by coming to school dressed in a number theme, for Marvellous Maths Day. and donated to the NSPCC. We also donated money to a cake sale on the Tuesday.
We had a wonderful week thinking about our mental wellbeing. Have a look at some of the photos below and see for yourselves...
